David Franklin You start with 6 feet and 180 pounds of raw talent load it with tons of speed, dump in some agility pour some super quick feet add a dash of hands and what do you get? You get David “CC” Tidwell the Tri-City Charge receiver. CC was one of the few bright spots on the Charge’s 2007 roster and Coach Richardson was more than happy to have him back. CC started the 2008 season on fire with 4 touchdown receptions in the three Charge preseason games then was able to follow that up with another 4 touchdown receptions in the first three games of the season. CC averaged over 20 yards a catch and teams were forced to double cover him for the remainder of the season. Tri-City Charge quarterback Jimi Lampron had this to say about one of his favorite targets CC, “He’s a stud. He’s the kind of receiver that even when he’s not open, he’s open. He’s a huge piece to our offensive puzzle. Any time he’s on the field he changes the game even if he’s not catching a pass he’s drawing double coverage leaving one of his teammates open or spreading the field for a run and his blocking this season especially in the playoffs was awesome.” CC has been the Charge’s TD champ for the past two seasons and has the skill set to do it again for a third straight season. CC has the potential to have 50 receptions and 1,000 yards receiving not to mention another 5-10 touchdowns. 1-5-09
