Paul Keaney – Coaching Career
Paul began coaching in the mid-1960s at Brooks School (North Andover, MA), where
he assisted on the Freshman, Junior Varsity, and Varsity. In 1978, he became Head
Coach at Pomfret School in Connectcut, leaving in 1983 to become Dean of a new
school in aples, Florida. That school did not have Football, and so Paul began
volunteering as an assistant coach for the nationally-recognized aples PAL Gator
program – he was the only "Yankee" on the staff. He later became Headmaster of a
school in Maine and relocated to Seacoast New Hampshire in the late 1980s,
continuing his volunteer work with the Winnacunnet Little Warriors, the Rochester
Little Raiders, and Farmington High School. He is currently an assistant coach at
Phillips Exeter Academy.
