Tri-City Sign veteran running back
5/2/08 The Tri-City Charge sign 5 year NEFL veteran Mike Berube . Mike has played 4 years with Notre Dame Cobras as well as one year with the Maine Tomcats. He was a All Star for 4 out of the 5 years in the league. Berube also played in footbal in high school at Thorton Academy.
Scouting Report
The scouting Report on Berube shows that he is a quick back, with good hands, and should fit in well with the Tri-City Charge fun & gun offense. Also looks to excel at special teams. Mike Berube looks to compete at starting running back with veteran charge players, Josh Foulds and Mike Thomas . Berube is 26 years old and stands 5' 7" and weighs in at 164lbs. Coaching staff was pleased at team combines when Mike ran a 4.95 40 yard dash and 1:22 on the 1/4 mile run as well.
Stregnths: Good recieving back. Good kick returner. Hard worker
Weakness: Undersized back, not a in between the tackles runner. May have trouble blocking bigger players
Player comparison: Could be a to NEFL, what Kevin Faulk is to the NFL. A quick and versitial back with good hand and great special teams ability.

Charge sign Plymouth State WR
4/06/08 The Tri-City Charge sign former Plymouth State wideout Jake Cheney . Jake former teammates with Jim Lampron at PSU was very excited to be reunited with his old QB.
Jake stands 6 feet tall and weighs in a 195 at Plymouth ran a 4.5 in the 40 yard dash, benchs 325, squats 375 and cleans 280. This signing gives the Charge yet another offensive weapon. We asked coach Richardson how this would help Tri-Citys hopes of a turn around and he had this to say. "Last year was tuff. We were a new slaped together franchise with the tuffest schedule in single A. We mostly played teams which are now AA clubs. Our offense still showed signs of greatness scoring over 30 on the 7-1 KVT now in AA and scoring 35 total in 2 games played against the 7-1 Mid-coast Choas who are also currently a AA club. So long story short picking up a guy like Jake gives Jimmy another talented weapon in the already good arsonal. I was very surprised at how strong this kid is for a reciever. In single A a DE, DT,OL or LB with those weight room stats are nice, but a WR is unheard of. But with top speed for A ball also. We are very eager to see Jake play this year."
Scouting report:
Strengths: Very physical reciever total package can block catch and knows the game also a hard worker on and off the field could be top 5 single A reciever in 2008.
Weakness: Plays with a mean streak which sometimes could be a destraction if not channeled.
Player compairison: Could be to the NEFL what Hines Ward or T.J. Houshmandzadeh is to the NFL.

Charge sign AAA prospect
4/1/08 The Tri-City Charge signed former AAA prospect Ryan Page. Page played three years with the AAA Hawks which makes the 21 year old a very young NEFL veteran. Ryan stands 5'10" and weighs in at 180 pounds. Tri-City who gave up the most points in the league last year on defense, hopes this move will be the starting point for change. We asked Coach Richardson about his thoughts on the former Hawk. Coach had this to say, "Before we finally signed him, I had a chance to see Ryan work out and was very surprised at how strong he was for a cornerback, benching 225 and squatting 380. Usually in semi-pro if you get a guy with great speed, his strength ends up being subpar at best. The great part about Ryan is that he is a workhorse and has been doing our weight training program religiously. His weight room intensity is very high. That's how I judge my players. I believe that championships are won in the off-season not during the season. I definitely think Ryan will make an immediate impact in single A, with the size and strength at CB to stop the run and the athletic ability to be a potential shut down corner in the league for many years to come."
Scouting report:
Strength: Size, speed and very hard worker.
Weakness: Still has a lot to learn about his position and questionable hands.
Player comparision: Shawn Springs type corner, good size, speed and potential shut down capablity. However, not a great pick man due to questionable hands. Should be tough matchup in single A.

Tri-City Charge Sign Franchise QB to 2 Year Agreement !
At 9:02 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2007, the Tri-City Charge made what the organization believes could be the single biggest signing thus far in the NEFL's 2007 season for any team. Jimmy Lampron , former quarterback standout from Plymouth State College, has signed on for a two-year commitment with the Charge organization. Jimmy has local roots as an all-state QB from Spaulding High School, he then went on to start all four-years during his attendance at Plymouth and earned All-Conference honors.
Jimmy graduated from Plymouth State last year and is currently teaching. His combine at Plymouth was an impressive 4.5 seconds in the 40 yard dash, a bench-press of 345 pounds and a squat of 485 pounds. Jimmy stands at 6’1” and weighs in at 215 pounds
When Coach Richardson was asked about the signing he had the following statements to make. “What can you say about a signing of this magnitude? At this point the pedigree speaks for itself. Now it’s just about the hardwork. We’ve been working him out for the past couple of months and let me say this. I’ve been involved in the New England league and the EFL for the past ten years. Jimmy has the potential to be as good as Spiedel and Clarzell Pearl, two of the best QBs in the New England league history. This should be a fun year for the fans to watch. His pocket presence and his quick decision making give him an edge. He also has the speed and ability by scrambling to hurt you on the run. The coaching staff and I will be working with Jimmy to maximize his talents. He’s 23 years old and we feel that he has the talent to play in arena football, our brother league, which is sponsored by the NFL. Plain and simple Tri-City Charge is a team to watch this season.”
The Tri-City Charge will be opening up this season at home against the Kennebec Valley Tigers. Come out and see Coach Richardson, Jimmy Lampron and the rest of your Tri-City Charge take on the Tigers!
Scouting report:
Strengths:Great speed, strength, size and arm strength. Can bench 225-28 times and dunk a basketball.
Weakness:Height if was 3 inches taller would have played D 1 ball in college.
Player comparison:Is to the NEFL what Tim Tebow is to college football.

Charge ink record holding Tailback.
Sunday, April 22, 2007, at approximately 3 p.m., the Tri-City Charge signed a former Unadilla Valley standout, 25 year old Josh Foulds . The most common question asked of Josh is where is Unadilla Valley? Unadilla Valley is a high school located in Central New York State and is a neighboring town to Michigan standout Mike Hart. Josh holds the all-time leading rushing record in the Section 4 District of over 2,000 yards and received a full scholarship to a Division II school. Unfortunately, because of a family tragedy, he wasn’t able to play at the collegiate level. We talked to Coach Richardson about Foulds’ outstanding high school career. He jokingly replied, “I wish my fantasy football half-back put up numbers like he did. Seriously, we looked into his background, as we do with every new player, and we were all thoroughly impressed with the findings. The rushing records, all-star appearances, dual athlete with basketball and a high honors student – what more could a team ask for? We had him in the mini camp and it only took the staff a couple of practices to realize that his father was a coach. He ran a 4.4 at the William Penn combine in college. He definitely has the speed to be an instant impact in this league. He has a lot to prove. This is why the NEFL is a great opportunity for a player like Josh. It gives him a place to have his talents seen by scouts in Arena football and there by potentially by the NFL. Our goal is to not only have a championship caliber team, but we also want to provide a place for local talent to possibly move up the ranks. Three - four years ago you were only scouted in college or you weren’t seen. That is starting to change. The NFL is starting to recognize that too much talent is being overlooked which is why there is now NFL Europe, Arena and semi-pro.” The Tri-City Charge will be opening up this season at home against the Kennebec Valley Tigers. Come out and see Coach Richardson, Josh Foulds and the rest of your Tri-City Charge take on the Tigers!
Strengths:Great speed,agility and very smart.
Weakness:Lacks size and strength.
Player comparison:Is to the NEFL what Reggie Bush is to the NFL, great speed agilty and hands for running back but has trouble blocking and running in between the tackles do to lack of size.
